Play Check director, Andrew Reedy, brings a wealth of experience in playground safety and design. He has been involved in the playground industry since 1994.
During that time he has been involved in the design and manufacture of playground equipment, as well all aspects of safety and compliance.
Since 2002 Andrew has represented the Australian Industry Group on the Standards Australia playground committee CS-005. During that time he has been involved in drafting the last two playground equipment standards, including the present AS 4685 series. In 2014 he chaired the technical sub-committee tasked with drafting the Standard AS 4685.0 (dealing with the development, installation, inspection, maintenance and operation of playground equipment).
This combination of manufacturing experience and an intimate understanding of the Standards means that Play Check is not only able to highlight issues with equipment designs and installations, but can also assist in arriving at solutions.
Andrew Reedy is a Level 3 Comprehensive Playground Inspector – Register of Playground Inspectors Australia (RoPIA) through University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
